Anushka's Marilyn Monroe Connection
The Band Baaja Baaraat actress dons a Marilyn Monroe hairdo for Anurag Kashyap's next
On Monday, Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor shot the promotional song Mohabbat buri bimari for Anurag Kashyap's period drama Bombay Velvet. Karan Johar, who plays the villain in the film was also present on the set.

Talking to us, the film's stylist Niharika Bhasin Khan said, "Anushka plays a jazz singer from the 50s and 60s and hence she had to stick to a certain kind of wardrobe while shooting for Bombay Velvet. But for this particular song we had to give her a short dress, tear-drop ear-rings and a Marilyn Monroe-ish hairdo."
Without spilling the beans on the story, Niharika explained, "The change happened simply because this number required Anushka to look contemporary but yet retro. It wasn't easy to strike the right balance but we pulled it off."
The song in question was to be directed by Lootera director Vikramaditya Motwane but was eventually shot by Queen director Vikas Bahl.
